A Dreamy Garden Wedding at Our Historic Venue: Cassidy & Jonny’s Story
On August 24th, 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting the romantic garden wedding of Cassidy & Jonny here at our venue. Known for the stately grounds and lush greenery, the gardens and mansion were the perfect backdrop for their pastel-hued celebration, embodying the charm and elegance of a classic garden wedding. For couples envisioning a wedding with both history and natural beauty, Cassidy & Jonny’s day provides endless inspiration.
The couple embraced a vibrant pastel palette featuring blush, pinks, yellows, and purples that was stunning against the green landscape of our certified butterfly sanctuary. From centerpieces to bouquets, their floral arrangements included tree peonies, ranunculus, delphinium, Queen Anne’s lace, and cheerful marigolds, each bloom carefully chosen to reflect the charm of our garden setting.
Their ceremony was full of heartfelt moments, including a touching "first look" between Cassidy and her father in the historic mansion’s living room. Separated by the mansion’s glass doors, they placed their hands on the glass, creating a beautiful, emotional moment captured within the timeless architecture of our 1809 property. Following this, the couple shared a private vow reading, capturing the intimacy and romance that make a butterfly wedding in a serene garden venue like ours so special.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to a delicious menu crafted by our onsite catering team. Starting with a house garden salad with mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a creamy parmesan dressing, the meal continued with garlic herb grilled chicken, Italian sausage and peppers with penne pasta, and roast prime rib of beef Au jus with horseradish sauce. A coffee station kept the energy high, and each guest was delighted by the individual bundt cakes custom-made for the occasion.
As a final nod to their love for nature, Cassidy & Jonny provided guests with unique favors—custom wildflower bird seed packets to honor our butterfly sanctuary and encourage their guests to support local pollinators.
